A woman and a nurse were left injured after a part of ceiling collapsed in the labour room of a government hospital in Shamli town near here.
The newly born child remained unhurt in the incident that occurred yesterday, officials said.
Priti, married to one Sandeep, was brought to the hospital in labour where she gave birth to a child and it was during the after-hours of the delivery that the lintel on the roof collapsed injuring the woman and a nurse attending on her, they said.
The injured were shifted to another room for treatment, hospital officials added.
