A woman and her daughter were killed and 14 other passengers injured when a state-owned transport corporation bus rammed into a roadside tree after its front tyre burst at Sivagiriullar near Tenkasi today.
Police said the bus driver lost control of the vehile and hit the tree.
Subbulakshmi and her daughter Devi, who suffered serious injuries, died in a hospital without responding to treatment.
Theothers had been hospitalised.
