2 minor boys die

A 7-year-old boy was electrocuted

today afternoon near Porompat Police Commando Complex in Manipur's Imphal East district, police said.

The minor T Malemnganba died after coming in contact with a live wire lying in a water-logged ground where he was playing, police said.

In another incident, S Singaisui who went out with his brother to collect shells was swept by the strong currents of Leimakhong River.

The incident occurred at Sabungkhok in Imphal East, added the police officer.

The body was discovered half a kilometre downstream by the residents of the locality.
