Two employees of a private firm were allegedly robbed of Rs 16.65 lakh by two bike-borne youths this morning in Gumanpura area here, police said.
The incident occurred when Ritish Vijay, regional manager of the firm, and branch manager Manoj Choudhary, were riding back to office on a motorcycle after withdrawing the money from an SBI bank branch, they said.
Two youths on another motorcycle snatched the bag containing money from Vijay near Modern petrol pump and fled from the spot, SHO of Gumanpura police station said.
A case has been registered in this connection and alert has been sounded at check posts across the city, the SHO said, adding that efforts to nab the accused are on.
