Two men extradited from Britain have pleaded guilty in Connecticut to supporting terrorists in Afghanistan through websites that sought to raise cash, recruit fighters and solicit items such as gas masks.

Syed Talha Ahsan pleaded guilty today to charges of providing support to terrorists. He admitted he assisted Babar Ahmad, who pleaded guilty earlier today to supporting terrorists by helping to establish and operate the websites.

A prosecutor says Ahsan traveled to Afghanistan with Ahmad's assistance to fight and attend a training camp run by al-Qaida. But Ahsan did not admit to that assertion.

Ahmad faces up to 25 years in prison under a plea agreement. Ahsan faces up to 15 years.
