20 women labourers injured in road mishap

At least 20 women labourers were injured after their vehicle collided with a truck on the Delhi-Saharanpur Highway near Jalalabad town here, police said today.

The injured women, some in serious condition, have been admitted to a local hospital for treatment, said police.

The women were heading for work at paddy fields in Jalalabad when the incident happened.

A case has been registered against the truck's driver and owner, said police.

In another incident, a man died and his wife was seriously injured after their motorcycle collided with a tractor in Unrkad, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Shrilal (28). The wife's condition is serious, police said.
