A 23-year-old man was allegedly killed by three of his friends in Rasra village here today, a senior official said.
The incident took place this morning when Heeran Rajbhar (23) was found in a critical condition in Rahopur village. He later died during treatment at a community health center, K C Goswami, Additional Superintendent of Police said.
The three accused identified as Manoj Rajbhar, Bablu Rajbhar and Ashok Yadav have been arrested in this connection, he said.
According to the ASP, one of the accused Ashok had an illicit relationship with the victim's wife and that may be the reason behind the murder.
Investigation is on to ascertain whether Heeran's wife was involved in the murder, he said.
