"Police have recently sent us the list of such owners whose addresses could not be verified following which we have come up with this direction," he added.
According to the department, it doesn't mean that Delhi Police found all such owners' addresses incorrect as some of cases are such that police sent traffic challans to their addresses, but challans could not be delivered.
"In some cases, traffic police sent owners of these vehicles traffic challans to their addresses, but these challans could not be delivered. Perhaps, at the time of delivering challans, the owners were out. However, we are doing all efforts to make necessary correction for registration records on the list sent by Delhi Police," the official added.
