3 convicted in attempt to murder case

A local court has sentenced three persons to 11 years in prison for assaulting and trying to murder a couple seven years ago.

Special Sessions Judge D P N Singh held Jiten, Baleshwar and Nand Kishore guilty yesterday announced the sentence.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on each of the convicts, who had assaulted Manish and Arti in July, 2006 over a land dispute in Khadipur Mallahi village of Bansdih area, prosecution said.
