Police today booked three family members, including a woman, for allegedly duping a youth of Rs eight lakh on the pretext of sending him abroad.
The accused were identified as Chhino and her two sons Lakhwinder and Jaswinder of local Begampura locality.
The trio were booked on a complaint of Chaman Lal, also of Begampura, police said.
According to Lal, the accused got Rs 8 lakh from him for sending his son Satnam to Italy.
The trio provided Italy's visa for Satnam but it turned out to be fake, police said.
But the accused refused to return the money to the complainant
Police had registered a case against the trio under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
