3 killed, 2 injured in car-lorry collision in Coimbatore dist

Three persons, including a woman were killed while two others injured in a collision between a car and a lorry at Mettupalayam near here today, police said.

The incident occurred when the car carrying five persons was proceeding to Madurai from Coonoor, at Tank Medu on Mettupalayam-Annur Road, they said.

The injured have been referred to the Government hospital here, police said adding a case has been registered.
