Three persons, including an elderly woman, were today killed and nine others injured when the SUV carrying them rammed into a stationary truck near here, police said.
The mishap occurred in wee hours on the Bhopal-Indore road, some 45 km from here when the victims, all relatives were returning after visiting the temple of deity Maiher Devi in Satna district, Astha police station inspector Dinesh Chauhan said.
The deceased have been identified as Phool Bai Yadav (70), Shivraj Yadav (26) and Jai Yadav (26), he said, adding, the injured are being admitted in a local hospital.
A case has been registered in this connection and investigations are underway, police said.
