Three youths allegedly attempted to rape an Asha worker in Gogvan village in Shamli district, police said today.
The Asha worker's complained that she was going to attend a patient in the village last evening when the accused waylaid her and tried to rape her after taking her to a nearby house, they said.
When she resisted their attempt and raised alarm, the accused fled from the spot, police said.
An investigation has been initiated in the matter, they said, adding a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
