The Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) foiled a smuggling bid here and seized nearly 35 kg of cannabis from two persons, a top official said today.
"We have arrested two persons, residents of south Kashmir, and recovered 35 kg of cannabis from them on the intervening nightof November 15 and 16," NCB Zonal Director (J&K) Manoj Kumar toldreporters here.
The accused were transporting the consignment from Anantnag to Nasik, he said, adding that they hid the cannabis under the seats of their vehicle.

Further investigation was underway, he said.
Nearly 115 kg of cannabis has been recovered in eight cases in the state this year.
Singh said investigators were also searching for terror links in narcotic funding.
