35-year-old inebriated man bites snake in Etah

In a bizzare incident, a 35-year-old man caught a snake and bit it into pieces at Asrauli village in the district here, officials said on Monday.
According to family members, Rajkumar was in an inebriated state when he attacked the snake. They said the snake had bit Rajkumar first, which prompted him to attack.
The family members rushed Rajkumar to the district hospital and they also brought the snake with them in a bag.
Dr Rahul Varshney, posted at Etah District Hospital, said, "Yesterday a youth was brought here. He was in an inebriated state. The family members had also brought the pieces of the snake. They said the man bit the snake after it attacked first. However, when I examined, I found no signs of snakebite."

Varshney said he had advised Rajkumar's parents to take him to Aligarh or Agra for treatment.
