4 die in van-tractor collision

Four persons were killed on the spot and six seriously injured when the van they were travelling in collided with a tractor at nearby Kandarvakottai today.

Police said 20 persons travelling in the van were returning to Thanjavur after attending a wedding at Pudukottai when the mishap occured.

The injured have been hospitalised, police said adding that the condition of three of them was critical.
