Four persons were today arrested in connection with the Christmas eve gangrape incident of two minors in West Garo Hills of Meghalaya.
The four accused - Chanang Marak (24), Junbirth Marak (22) Pringbal Sangma (20) and Goldistar Marak (24) - are residents of Sankarigre near Garobadha in West Garo Hills, a senior police officer said today.
They had forcefully taken three minor girls from William Point area of the town of Tura on December 24 and took them to an unknown place and gangraped two of them, the officer said.
The third girl managed to escape.
The four were arrested from an area in West Garo Hills few days back.
