Four persons were killed, while 17 others were injured when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned near Zinavali village in Awagarh.
The canter truck carrying tomatoes was on its way to Agra from Madhupura village in Malawan yesterday, with 21 people on board when the accident occured, police said today.
The overloaded vehicle overturned after its shaft broke, killing three persons on the spot near Awagarh police circle, police said.
An injured person was referred to Agra for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Kitab Singh (50), Tej Giri (40), Jitendra (14), and Satypal (40), who died in Agra, they added.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
