4 of marriage party killed in road accident

Four members of a marriage party were today killed and four others injured when the jeep they were travelling in collided with a truck on National Highway 28C which connects this district with Nepal.

Driver of the ill-fated jeep, Madhav Ram (25), Shiv Kumar (30), Lukman (22) and Shahid (21), all residents of Bahraich, were killed in the accident, SHO of Ramgaon police station, Digvijay Singh said.

Of the four injured persons, two have been referred to the Lucknow's Trauma Centre, while the other two have been hospitalised in Bahraich itself, he said.

The police have sent the bodies for postmortem, the officer added.
