A total of 48,11,756 voters, including 88,116 first timers, have been registered during the special revision of the voters list in Himachal Pradesh, officials said.
There are at present 48,11,756 registered voters in the voters lists of all Assembly segments of the state, including 24,58,881 males and 23,52,875 female voters, Chief Electoral Officer Narender Chauhan said.
Among the 88,116 new voters, 33,287 voters are in the age group of 18-19 years and 54,829 in the age group of 19 years and above, he said.

The names of 45,594 voters have been removed from the voters list due to death, change in place or double registration, he said.
The net increase in number of voters is 42,522, which is just 0.89 per cent, the official said.
Chaouhan stated that the work on special revision of photo electoral rolls has been completed in all 68 Assembly constituencies of the state and the same was published on January 10.
The highest voters (90,320) were in Sulah Assembly constituency in Kangra district, whereas the lowest (22,686) was in Lahaul and Spiti, he said.
The Chief Electoral Officer said any person can check the voters list free of cost in the office of the District Election Offices, ADM, SDM, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar offices, or with the booth level officers of each polling station.
The voters lists of all Assembly constituencies have also been made available on the website of the State Election Commission. The CDs of the same can also be obtained from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Shimla or District Election Officers concerned, Chouhan added.
The state goes to poll this year.
