Five persons have been arrested for allegedly running a betting racket in the national capital during the final India-Sri Lanka final match of the Celkon Mobile Cup tri-series tournament in the West Indies, police said today.
Lalit Solanki and Pawan Solanki, both residents of Pooth Kalan, Nitin Shokeen and Mohit Kumar, who reside in Budh Vihar, and Jitender Kumar from Punjab were arrested yesterday on specific input from a house in Pooth Kalan by the Crime branch, said Ravindra Yadav, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime).
The syndicate was operating during Celkon Mobile Cup tri- series tournament.

Police got information that Solanki would book a bet on the final of India-Sri Lanka one day cricket match with his associates.
A raid was conducted around midnight and they were arrested after being found operating the entire betting acceptance and feeding details in laptops inside a room.
Police recovered two laptops and seven mobile phones.
