Five persons, including two women and a teenage boy, were killed after their car fell into a deep gorge near Dhanaulti of Tehri district, officials said today.
The accident took place last night in Jalsi area when the car occupants were returning to Dehradun, they said.
Prima facie, it appears that the driver lost control of the vehicle after which it fell into a 150-feet deep gorge. Four persons were killed on the spot while one woman succumbed to her injuries in a hospital, the officials said.
The deceased have been identified as Harmohan Singh (42), his wife Ravinder Kaur (40), Jagdish Dharsmana (40), his wife Rajani (35) and their 16-year-old son Manu.
