At least five soldiers were killed and 34 others injured today when a suicide bomber rammed a explosive-laden car into a military checkpoint in Pakistan's restive northwest, official sources said.
The incident occurred near Kajor Fort in Mir ALi tehsil, five kilometre east of Miranshah headquarters of North Waziristan agency.
Five soldiers were killed and 34 others - 28 Frontier Corps personnel and six army troops - wounded when the suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into the military checkpoint, security sources said.
Spokesman of Hizb-ut-Tahrir, Salahuddin, claimed responsibility for the blast.
