7 injured in LPG blast

Seven family members were

injured, including a child, when fire broke out in a house due to LPG cylinder blast at Bagnan in Howrah district today.

Local Baganpur Gram Panchayat Pradhan Ashish Rahman said the seven were taken to Uluberia Hospital and they included a 12-year old boy.

He said the fire broke out when the LPG exploded and the seven suffered burn injuries.

A Fire Brigade official said three fire tenders rushed to the house to put off the flames in one hour time.
