A total of 750 special buses will be operated to various places in Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur and Thanjavur districts from Chennai, in connection with Deepavali, for three days, starting from October 26 upto 28, a senior TNSTC official said.
In a press release today, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation General Manager, S Gowrishankar said, "The buses will be operated round-the-clock on October 26, 27 and 28 from Chennai to Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Vailankanni,Tiruvarur and Thiruthuraipoondi."
Buses to these places will start from CMBT, Koyambedu, Chennai.
A total of 111 buses will be operated on October 26, 163 on October 27 and 146 on October 28 to Kumbakonam, Thanjavur, Mannargudi and Pattukottai, the release said.
Buses to these destinations will be operated from Tambaram MEPZ bus terminus, it added.
