800 grams of heroin seized from Nigerian: Police

About 800 grams of heroin were seized from a Nigerian national at Ambala Cantonment area here, police said today.

The accused was identified as Devid, a resident of Delhi, they said.

Acting on a tip off, a police team, deployed near the railway station here, stopped a Nigerian at Sawastik Chowk yesterday, they said.

The 800 grams of heroin were recovered from the accused during a search, following which a case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered.
