85 men held for illicit IMFL sale

In a crackdown on illicit liquor, prohibition enforcement wing police today arrested 85 men for allegedly selling fake Indian Made Foreign Liquor in Salem and Namakkal Districts.

Special police teams, set up to check illicit IMFL, arrested the 85 and seized a total of 1,232 bottles of IMFL, Prohibition Enforcement wing Additional District Supintendent of Police Chandrasekaran said.

They were produced before a magistrate who remanded them to judicial custody, police said.
