Abbey Lee in talks for female lead in 'Dark Tower'

"Mad Max: Fury Road" actress Abbey Lee Kershaw is in talks to star in "Dark Tower", the long-gestating adaptation of Stephen King's novel series.

Kershaw, 28, is courting the role of Tirana in movie, reported Aceshowbiz.

If signed, she will join Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey, who is expected to be the main villain, Walter Padick aka Man in Black.

The film will be based on the first book in the series "The Gunslinger", which revolves around Deschain, part of a knightly order of gunslingers, who is on a quest to find the tower before evil invades and destroys it.
 

Nikolaj Arcel will direct the film due January 13, 2017 in US theatres.
