Abducted construction employee killed, another untraced

One of the two abducted construction contract employees was killed at Kharikasol in Naxal-affected Ghatsila

sub-division today, police said.

The employees, including a Munshi of the company engaged in the construction work of Swarnarekha Multi-purpose Project canal, were abducted and taken into a jungle, Senior Superintendent of Police Anoop T Mathew said.

Mathew, who rushed to the spot along with force, said that body of one employee was found crushed with rocks was found under Syamsunderpur police station, while the search for other abducted person is underway.

Denying the involvement of a Naxal group in the incident, Mathew said dispute within the villagers is believed to be the reason.
