A Forest department employee was killed and five others injured when they were attacked by local people in Karvi area of Chitrakoot district who suspected them of being members of child trafficking gang, a police spokesman said here today.
Forest department employee Ram Swaroop (56) was killed when a team of forest department which went to check illegal mining near Kol locality was attacked last night, the spokesman said.
The injured have been admitted to the district hospital where condition of one Lalak Singh was stated to be serious, the police added.
