Police today claimed to have solved the kidnapping case of minor girl after rescuing her and arresting the accused from Gumat area of Jammu and Kashmir.
"A minor girl who was kidnapped from her house in Harotekote village in the Reasi district was recovered today from the Gumat area of Jammu," a police official said.
He said the accused identified as Mohammed Younis was also arrested after a police team from Reasi conducted raids in Gumat.
Police swung into action after a complaint was lodged by the father of the girl. Several teams were constituted to find the girl and nab the accused, the official said.
