ACB arrests forensic lab technician for accepting bribe

A lab technician working at the Department of Forensic Medicine in Guntur Medical College in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000, it was officially announced here today.

ACB officials caught Dasari Srihari Babu red-handed on the college premises yesterday while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from a complainant to issue a copy of a postmortem examination certificate of his daughter-in-law, an ACB release stated.

After the bribe amount was seized, the lab technician was arrested and the case is being investigated, the release stated.
