A policeman posted at Gudagaur Ji police station here was today arrested by the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 5,000, officials said.
Accused Mahesh Chandra had demanded a bribe of Rs 9,000 against releasing accidental vehicle of complainant Sanjay Singh, who had previously paid Rs 3,600 to the policeman, Additional Superintendent of Police, ACB, Prithviraj Meena told PTI.
Taking cognisance of the complaint, a team of ACB officers caught Chandra red handed accepting the bribe.
He will be produced before the ACB court tomorrow, the officer said.
