Achieve Jan Dhan target by December 4, Gujarat CM tells banks

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today asked all the public sector and scheduled banks in the state to achieve the target set under the Jan Dhan Yojna by December 4.

Banks have so far opened 1.02 crore Jan Dhan accounts in Gujarat, which is 70 per cent of the target.

Patel today chaired 143rd state level bankers committee meeting in Gandhinagar. In her address to bank officials, she urged them to take this task on "mission mode", said an official press release here.
