Public Health Minister of Afghanistan Ferozuddin Feroz today met Delhi minister Satyendar Jain and discussed the public health initiatives being undertaken by the city government, officials said.

"The visiting minister showed a keen interest in the Mohalla Clinics initiative, and sought information about the project and its functional details," according to a statement released by the Delhi government.

So far, nearly 110 Mohalla Clinics have been set up across the city under the Arvind Kejriwal government's flagship project.

The government plans to set up 1,000 such facilities by this year end.

In January this year, former Secretary-General of United Nations, Kofi Annan, had commended the Mohalla Clinic project.
