The Afghan Under-14 and Under-17 boys and girls teams are presently in India to participate in the ongoing Subroto Cup football tournament.
The Subroto Cup football tournament is conducted every year under the aegis of Indian Air Force Sports Control Board, where the teams from different age-groups participate to make it a success.
According to a statement from the Indian embassy in Kabul, junior and sub-junior teams from India and abroad participate in the tournament.
The Subroto Cup encourages the football at grass root level and also fosters friendship amongst the youth of India and friendly countries like Afghanistan.
