Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh today directed the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to seek legal opinion on setting up a Central Agricultural University in Bihar.
The direction was given to ICAR when Bihar Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh raised the issue in a meeting with Union Agriculture Minister, an official statement said.
After detailed deliberations, Secretary, ICAR was directed to seek legal opinion on this issue which is pending since long because of no decision in respect of 191 court cases, the statement added.
The Planning Commission had given in-principle approval in 2009 to set up this university.
