The members demonstrated in front of the office of SDO(Civil) and submitted a memorandum to Cachar deputy commissioner detailing the alleged anomalies in issuing job cards since 2007.
The memorandum also demanded a CBI inquiry into the alleged anomalies.
It was alleged by villagers of Lakhipur, Binnakandi, Banskandi and Rajabazar development blocks that though the government adopted the policy to improve the socio-economic condition of the people by providing them employment facilities under panchayat system, the benefits did not percolate to the poor.
Job cards were to be issued to house holders of the villages, ensuring them 100 days employment but for long no jobs were being provided, AIDUF said.
The memorandum also alleged that funds have not been utilized in reality but its completion reports already submitted.
