Ajit Doval conferred honorary doctorate by Kumaun University

National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval was today conferred an honorary doctorate by the Kumaun University at the varsity's 14th convocation here.

Doval was conferred the Doctorate of Literature (D Litt) by Uttarakhand Governor K K Paul at the ceremony which was held at Dev Singh Bisht College.

Speaking on the occasion, Doval noted that the world was being swept by major changes today and asked the students to brace themselves to tackle the challenges of a fast changing world.

The NSA asked the students to develop a positive attitude, and not to be afraid of failure but treat it as a "stepping stone to success".

 

He said he felt humbled to get the honour in his home state.

Doval hails from Pauri district in Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Higher Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat and a host of other dignitaries attended the ceremony.
