Akhilesh allocates over Rs 867 cr for farmers in Bundelkhand

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today allocated Rs 867.87 crore for farmers in drought-hit Budelkhand region of the state.
An official spokesmen said the amount will be used for providing relief to farmers in the region.
Yadav has directed the District Magistrate to ensure that the relief amount was distributed at the earliest, the spokesmen added.

Samajwadi Party insiders said the chief minister was perhaps not happy with Singhal as he had attended a dinner hosted by Amar Singh which Akhilesh gave a miss though Mulayam and some other top party leaders were present.
According to party insiders, Akhilesh was not very happy with Singhal for his "closeness" with Shivpal.
Singhal was earlier Principal Secretary (Irrigation), a department held by Shivpal.
