Delhi government has decided to turn all its 'kachha' Chhath ghats into 'pucca' ones by next year, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said today.
The move assumes significance, as municipal polls are due next year, and the Bihar-UP migrant community is seen as a major voting population in the city.
"I extend my wishes to people on the occasion of Chhath. The ghats are 'kuchha', so, we have cleared the budget and also ordered for making the 'kachha' Chhath ghats into 'pucca' ones, which will be completed by next year," he told reporters.
