The concern shown for Jammu and Kashmir at the all-party meeting in New Delhi was "noteworthy" but it should be followed by confidence-building measures to set off the democratic political process, minister and senior PDP leader Naeem Akhtar said here today.
He said the all-party meeting was a "good beginning" which needs to be carried forward.
"The concern for Jammu and Kashmir is noteworthy but we expect a follow up in the shape of measures which build confidence among the people and set off a democratic political process," he said.
Akhtar, who holds the portfolio of Education, was commenting on the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the situation in Kashmir.
