Aluminium futures fell 0.26% to Rs 113.50 per kg today as speculators reduced positions amid subdued demand at domestic spot markets.
Aluminium for delivery in March was down by 30 paise, or 0.26%, to Rs 113.50 per kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange in a business turnover of just three lots.
The metal for delivery in February also shed 20 paise, or 0.18%, to trade at Rs 112.65 per kg in a turnover of 133 lots.
Marketmen said a weak trend at domestic spot markets on low demand from consuming industries mainly kept pressure on aluminium prices at futures trade but a firming trend in base metals overseas, limited the fall.
