Amara Raja Batteries Q4 net up over 6% to Rs 108.6 crore

Amara Raja Batteries today reported a 6.19 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 108.6 crore for the quarter ended March 2016.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 102.26 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.
Net sales during the period under review stood at Rs 1,169.32 crore as against Rs 1,066.39 crore a year ago, up 9.65 per cent.

For the entire 2015-16 fiscal, net profit came in at Rs 489.44 crore as against Rs 410.86 crore in the previous year, up 19.12 per cent.
Net sales during 2015-16 stood at Rs 4,689.27 crore, an increase of 11.39 per cent, as against Rs 4,209.65 crore in 2014-15.
Amara Raja Batteries' shares were trading at Rs 856.10 apiece, down 4.29 per cent, from its previous close on BSE.
