Amaravati bench of Railway Claims Tribunal inaugurated

RCT (Principal Bench) Justice K Kannan, Vinod Kumar Yadav, M G Sekharam, Railway Guntur Division and other officials were present on the occasion.

Justice said the was an institution established with the aim of quick disposition of justice to the victims.

He said there were 33,000 cases in the trial stage at 22 tribunals all over

Ninety per cent of the cases belong to incidences where human beings were the victims while others related to goods and claims, he added.

Justice said advocates should constantly follow ethical practices and stand up with values.

Yadav said the new RCT at would serve the needs of the people belonging to Vijayawada, Guntur and Guntakal Railway divisions.

Around 1,670 cases pertaining to region were being transferred from the Secunderabad to the newly formed Amaravati Bench, he said adding it would help in early settlement of claims of both passenger and freight segments.
