Amjad Ali Khan chosen for Virasat 2015 award

Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan has been chosen for the "Alva Virasat 2015" award.

The award, instituted by Alva's Educational Foundation, would be presented on January 8, the inaugural day of the three-day cultural event at Vidyagiri near here, a statement said today.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs one lakh, the release said.
