Amritsar-Gorakhpur weekly train to start on Nov 2

A new weekly train between Amritsar and Gorakhpur will start on November 2, a senior railway official said today.

The Amritsar-Gorakhpur Express will depart every Sunday at 12:35 PM from Amritsar and reach Gorakhpur at 7:55 AM the next day, Divisional Railway Manager (Ambala) A K Khatpal said today.

The train will have stoppages at Beas, Jalandhar City, Phagwara, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Sitapur Cantt, Gonda, Basti and Khalilabad stations.

On its return journey, the train will depart from from Gorakhpur every Monday at 10:35 AM and reach Amritsar at 6:30 AM the next day.

It will have stoppages at Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Sitapur Cantt, Bareilley, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Phagwara, Jalandhar City and Beas stations, he added.
