Andhra Bank opens Zonal office in Jaipur

Expanding its network in Rajasthan, Andhra Bank today inaugurated a new Zonal office in Jaipur to facilitate the branches in the state.

Inaugurating the office, Chairman and the MD of the bank V R Rajendran said the bank is planning to open 33 branches in the current fiscal and 40 more in FY16, which will take the total number of branches to 100 in the state.

"We are expanding our network and focusing in Northern India. Rajasthan is on a high growth trajectory and we want to be a part of the growth," he told reporters here.

"Rajasthan is expected to see a tremendous growth in sectors like manufacturing and we are planning to expand our presence in the state," he said, adding the bank would also consider to offer customised package and exclusive branches for business in the state.
 

"Jaipur is a hub for gems and jewellery and over a period of time we may consider to open an exclusive branch for the sector," Rajendran said.

The CMD informed that the bank's total business at the end of June 2014 stood at Rs 2,62,099 crore with deposits at Rs 1,47,519 crore and advances at Rs 1,14,580 crore.
