Angry over rejection of wedding proposal, boy rapes classmate

The boy and the girl were in love for the past one year and were studying together in a private coaching centre here, police said.

The girl's parents had rejected Yogesh Handa's proposal as he belonged to another caste, they said.

Yogesh took the girl to the hotel on the pretext of discussing their marriage plans and allegedly raped her, police said.

A case has been registered against Yogesh who is on the run.

The medical test confirmed the girl was raped, police said.
