Press Trust of India Hyderabad
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said that his party would like to see Andhra Pradesh and Telangana emerge as front-ranking states in terms of development.

Addressing a TDP workers' convention at Mahabubnagar in Telangana, Naidu said that he and the TDP had a responsibility to see that Telugus prosper since they blessed the party for 35 years.

Mentioning that TDP workers in Telangana always stood by him and the party despite pressures, he said that he is indebted to TDP activists forever for their love and support.

TDP leaders and workers did not flinch in their commitment to the party even when extremism was rampant in the state and also during the recent separate statehood agitation, he said.

Naidu's visit to Mahabubnagar is part of his tours to different towns in Telangana, after formation of the separate state.

TDP has been at the receiving end in Telangana after some party MLAs switched loyalties to ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti.

Naidu undertook similar visits to places like Warangal and Karimnagar in Telangana earlier.
